Dispatch 3: Andrew Peterson and the Dark Sea of Darkness

Andrew Peterson has explored the power of story throughout his career as a singer-songwriter. With his debut novel set to be released on the 28th of this month, the wordsmith will enjoy free literary reign for the first time. Fantastic adventure is set to sprawl across paragraphs and chapters–not merely line and verse. Anyone who has enjoyed this artist’s story-tellng through the years will be delighted to dive into the “Dark Sea of Darkness” (or at least to stand on the edge of it).

For this dispatch, I talked with Andrew about his real first novel (it was about Batman…seriously…), growing up in the South, the power and appeal of imaginative fiction, and his experiment in creative community, “The Rabbit Room.”
